Related: The Shortest Open World Video Games The original Legend of Zelda for the NES gave gamers a glimpse of how much fun an open-world game can be, and ever since that landmark game developers of open-world games have endeavored to give gamers larger and large worlds to explore. I have even considered spending a LOT of time building it in City Skylines, but I think I will run into the same issue because I don't know if street names are generated.Open-world games are not new in fact, they’ve been around for some time. Really taking a shot in the dark here, and hoping someone knows of a tool that can be used for homebrew Cyberpunk city settings? I have also used Google Maps, and the webtool (name escaping me) to give it a different look, but the issue is the street names don't fit well in a pseudo-Japanese setting, so either I get extremely english names or all Japanese - because of location. I have seen a number of posts here, and elsewhere, with the procedural city map from ProbableTrain (which is great), but it lacks the one thing I really want which is street names appropriate to a Cyberpunk setting. ![]() I am at the point I need a city map to work with, so I can drop the appropriate pieces into place and not worry about making it up as I go. I have been working at creating a Notion database for months now, creating all the "filler" for my homebrew Cyberpunk city for Cyberpunk RED.
